Business: Come play with our horsesIndulge your love of horses with a lease program that allows you to develop and maintain a long-term relationship with one or more of our beautiful, gentle horses.   Our horses are trained in multiple disciplines including English, Western, trail and gaming.  We are a long-term lease facility.  We are not a lesson barn or trail riding operation, however, riders who have signed leases may take riding lessons on leased horses and approved riders may use their leased horses to trail ride on adjacent public lands.We are located near the intersection of NW Skyline and McNamee Rd, in zip code 97231, which is just 20 minutes from downtown Portland and 10 minutes from Forest Heights or Bethany.  Our property is set on 21 acres with coastal range views.    Tall fir trees provide shade in the summer and wind protection in the winter.  A tidy barn, a 100' x 200' all weather riding arena, miles of adjacent riding trails, mud-free paddocks, and fly control system provide a relaxing, peaceful environment to enjoy horse-time.How our lease program worksApproved riders with current leases, purchase a set number of rides each month via Venmo or by check.  Follow these procedures to book your rides:  1. Go to the Book Now button.  2. Select the length of time you want to ride (2 or 3 hours).  3. Select the horse you want to ride.  4. Select the date and time you want to ride.  5. Need to change your ride time?  You can cancel and reschedule a booked ride up to one hour prior to your ride start time.Lease cost is:- $150 for up to 4 rides per month- $200 for up to 6 rides per month- $250 for up to 8 rides per month- $300 for up to 10 rides per monthThere is a 1 - 3 month wait-list for beginner riders who need to work within a lesson program.We have some openings for experienced riders who would like to ride Fancy, Glacier or Kasino without the need for active supervision from our riding instructor.  To ride independently, you will need to demonstrate you are able to fetch, groom, tack and ride your horse safely.  You will also need to demonstrate you understand basic rules of equitation that will complement and not detract from the training of our horses.Monaco and Denali are offered to experienced riders only.  If you are interested in riding Monaco or Denali, then click Here to read about their personalities and training to decide if they might be a good fit for you.  Maximum ride duration is 3 hours, including tacking and untacking of horse.We provide saddles, bridles, grooming supplies, feed, veterinary care and use of onsite riding facilities. You provide: your own riding attire such as boots and helmet.Covid 19 protocols: All persons, including riders, guests, family members and employees age 12 and older must be fully vaccinated and boosted where eligibleMaximum ride duration is 3 hours, including tacking and untacking of horse.
